BUKA PUASA WITH 'CITARASA MALAYSIA' AT DORSETT GRAND SUBANG

Satisfy your durian cravings when you buka puasa at Terazza Brasserie during Ramadan. Freshly harvested by Agro Best Services Malaysia Sdn Bhd, the Musang King durians are delivered daily from Raub, Pahang to the Dorsett Grand Subang for guests to savour as part of this year’s iftar experience.

Priced at RM130 nett per whole Musang King durian, the rich and sweet King of Fruits will surely dial up the breaking of fast ritual up another level.

The culinary team will also take patrons on a “CitaRasa Malaysia” journey; highlighting local dishes reminiscent of Tok Mak’s cooking from our nation’s 14 states.

Crowd-pleasers to look out for include delectable Middle Eastern style Whole Roast Lamb with Biryani Rice, piping hot Shawarma, Soup “Gearbox” (beef bone marrow broth), Chicken and Beef Satay, Chicken Murtabak and Roti John. These specialities are prepared a la minute for optimum deliciousness.

Starters and appetisers, both Continental and local, abound: from Poached Seafood on ice and fresh Salad Bar to Assorted Kerabu with a myriad of sambal, sauces and condiments.

An array of curries, rice offerings, savoury hot dishes and cook-to-order pasta is enough to leave you spoiled for choice. Discerning picks we recommend: Gulai Kawah (beef curry), Udang Masak Lemak Cili Api (prawns in turmeric curry), Nasi Tomato, Lamb Tandoori, Spice-marinated Fried Chicken, Pajeri Nenas (pineapple curry) and Assorted Fried Fritters among others.

CITARASA NIPAH AT EQ KUALA LUMPUR FOR BUKA PUASA

This year when you buka puasa (break fast) at EQ Kuala Lumpur during Ramadan, be sure to sample Nasi Beriani Kambing Batu Pahat at Nipah Restaurant.

The deliciously flavourful show-stealing dish, prepared by Malay Chef Muhammad Hajral Lisarni, is one of the many signature specialities at the Citarasa Nipah promotion come the Ramadan month.

Staying true to the traditional methods of Malay food preparation, Chef Hajral and his team aim to revive fond memories of passionate slow-cooking and the familial and communal pleasure of meal-sharing at Nipah.

Choice picks from the extensive menu include Gulai Lemak Cili Padi Daging Salai (the beef is smoked in-house before it’s cooked with a robust yellow curry); Sambal Tumis Udang Harimau (tiger prawns in zingy, fiery-hot sambal); Tulang Rawan Gulai Kawah; Gulai Nangka Muda (young jackfruit curry); Kari Kambing (mutton curry) and assorted Kerabu (local salads) by Chef de Partie Saadiah.
